All of our sonographers have been scanning clinically for years and have performed tens of thousands of 2D scans. All of our sonographers are further certified to scan according to 3DBabyVu guidelines for safety and efficacy. Our sonographers are some of the best in the country, if not the world.
Our staff radiologist is actively involved with our scanning guidelines. Each exam consists of a limited diagnostic ultrasound exam consisting of estimated baby age, weight, due date, and heart rate along with several other standard assessments. If the baby is seen as normal, the parent is provided a keepsake report for his record or to give to their doctor. This ultrasound biometry data is reviewed by our staff radiologist. If the baby is seen with an abnormality during this limited diagnostic exam, then a formal Radiology report is generated by our staff Radiologist and sent directly to the patients physician.
As all of our sonographers are registered, they are extremely aware of how to correctly handle the parents in the unlikely case of an abnormality. Only the physician, not the mother, receives the radiology report regarding potential abnormalities.
